Bill Nelson Backs ENDA, Leaving Just Two Democratic Holdouts

Bill Nelson, Democratic Senator of Florida just signed on and became a cosponsor of the Employee Non Discrimination Act. ENDA is now being brought to the table "which would bar workplace discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity. It is already illegal to discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, nationality, religion, age or disability." I think it's about time that this is being brought to the table. I hope that this pushes through the Senate and gets passed. There is no reason that anybody should be denied a job or fired simply because of their sexual orientation or gender identity. The point of a job is to get work done. Who you are doesn't interfere with what work you have to do. You can't do a job any less simply because of your sexual orientation or gender identity, therefore, since it doesn't interfere with work it shouldn't be an issue.
