President Obama and the Debt Ceiling

It appears that President Obama is going to win the battle of raising the debt ceiling.  The Republicans are being held accountable for the government shut-down, Obamacare is going to go through.  But did any of this change anything? It did bring it to the forefront that the Congress does not want Obamacare for themselves and the Unions do not want Obamacare either, so it makes you wonder why it's not good enough for them, but it is for other Americans.  President Obama gets to pick who has to buy it and who doesn't. It is also interesting that Obamacare is not completely up and running so it looks like more problems are looming.  Debt is going up and with 15% of the government shut down, well it wasn't so bad. Maybe that says something about the government getting too big.

  1. I liked your point on how neither the Unions nor Congress want Obamacare. I've wondered the same thing, why don't they want it? Why should they be excluded from it? Also if Obamacare were postponed like the Republicans wanted it would give them time to sort out the glitches in it.
