Reaching the End

Senate has a bill proposed, and the House is prepared to move on it.  With Thursday approaching quick, and the Treasury running out of funds, conservatives are beginning to grow up and put aside some of their goals for the better of the United States.  Though still a challenge to pass, the House will send the bill jumping through hoops and loops hoping to avoid lengthy procedures.  Speaker John Boehner is still uneasy about the bill being passed by the Republican Conference, due to the Republicans hold to the Hastert Rule, which means the Speaker does not try to pass a bill without the support of "the majority of the majority".  The proposed bill goes against much of what Republicans were fighting for, barely touching the Obamacare program.  Meanwhile Boehner will heavily rely on Nancy Pelosi to conjure up Democratic votes for the bill.  The proposed bill will raise the Nations debt ceiling until February 7, but Republican Tea Party members Ted Cruz and Mike Lee may put the whole process on hold.  Although not stating any plans to do so currently, the two may attempt to delay the passing of the bill this afternoon when the Senate meets at noon.
