End to Shutdown?

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/post-partisan/wp/2013/10/15/shutdown-not-quite-over/Signs are starting to point to a closure to the government shutdown and perhaps a postponement of the debt ceiling. Signs are also showing that House Republicans are beginning to come down from the ladder of their initial high demands on Obamacare. The Senate deal circulating right now is to open tohe government again until January 15th and extend the debt ceiling to February 7th. House Republican leaders actually seem to be buying into this deal and so far it's looking like there's a possibility it could go through. Surprising, huh? Congress actually agreeing on something. There are, however, some extra concessions: a two year delay in the medical-device tax that is part of the financing for Obamacare, and a variation on the amendment named after Sneator Vitter to end subsidies for the Health Insurance purchased by House and Senate members on the Affordable Care Act's exchanges. This movement, although slow, is positive. It seems as if House Republicans are starting to bck away from the stance that they took intitially at the beginning of the shutdown. Congress is finally starting to work together in order to end the shutdown. I'm sure that the lack of popularity nationally for Congress has something to do with their recent action.
