In Washington right now Democrats = teenagers, Republicans = adults

The article by Fox News is about how Republicans are the adults in the case of the government shutdown and it is the Democrats who are acting like teenagers. It expresses how Democrats want to irresponsibly spend, and will not negotiate raising the age in which citizens receive social security and Medicare. They also state that if Washington continues to spend like they are now, then “all Americans, not just the wealthy, will be paying higher taxes and more on private health care.” Personally, I feel like this is the biggest joke that I have heard. For one, it is the Republicans who are not compromising and who are unwilling to negotiate. Republicans are acting like teenagers because ObamaCare has not really gone into total effect yet, and already they want to whine and complain about it, when Republicans voted for it! Also, I would think that Republicans would be pro privatizing health care, because if it is mandatory to have health care, then there would be less chances of running into situations in which uninsured people go to the hospital, they cannot pay their medical bills, so it falls onto the tax payers. Republicans are well known for wanting to keep their money in their pocket, so I would think that they would see this as a good idea. Moreover, ironically, Fox stated that wealthy Americans would somehow be paying higher taxes. The wealthy always seem to get away with paying fewer taxes than they should and find loopholes. If Republicans want to cut back on spending so much, then they should be willing to cut back on the “guns” not “butter”. However, when that is suggested they continue to whine more and say that Democrats are not compromising. All in all, the Republicans need to take a look at themselves, stop blaming Democrats, grow up, and stop acting like foolish teenagers.
