Has a deal finally been made??

With the government shut down still happening and the deadline of the debit ceiling fast approaching on October 17th, Congress has been scrambling for a deal to be made. Better late the never I guess?  The deal has been said to be the debt ceiling risen through Feb. 7th and including a spending bill lasting through Jan. 15. The deal although has not included Obamacare, which started the issue of the governmental shut down.  A plan for another budget meeting has been set for December to make a deal on a more broader plan. The issue of Obamacare is still residing in the House Republicans which is stopping most of the deals being made. But many provisions to Obamacare have been made in order to semi-please the House Republicans. They said"If the president and Senate Democrats are going to force the American people to live under Obamacare, then they and all Washington leaders should not be shielded from the law," one GOP said. With the deal finally being made, the government shut down is now over and the debit ceiling is now raised.  Now we, as Americans, can hope that our Congress can drop the child act and start talking about the issues as adults.  I am not trying to bash our Congress and say they are children, but the way they were acting and not communicating with each other just because they didn't have their way is a little childish. As a conservative supporter, I still do not agree with the behavior of some of our fellow conservatives.  We already lost the battle of Obamacare, there is no way of stopping it. But, I do believe that some of the fine lines that need to be worked out and Democrats should have been more wiling to talk about the issues.  Either way, our "Republican governmental shut down" is finally over and lets hope that we can resolve the issues as adults.

  1. This whole situation was disgusting. The fact that a handful of stubborn childish lawmakers had the audacity to cause so much harm over a lost cause is sad. Nothing was accomplished throughout this whole fiasco. Several hundred thousand people went without jobs while these fools sat happily behind their desks collecting money for a job they weren't even able to do.
